Review of MGO GEMINI POD KIT

Review of MGO GEMINI POD KIT

There are some disposables whose packaging and presentation are quite presentable. The Pod device called GEMINI, produced by MGO brand, is such a device in my opinion.

Features of MGO GEMINI POD KIT

So, we have a box “with shift”, i.e. it opens by moving the cover up or down. The front part shows the top of the device, its name, flavors (there are two of them – more on that below) and a large warning about the harm of nicotine. online vaping shop in australia On the sides are the specifications of the device, the kit’s package and the whole view. On the back there is indicated date of production and shelf life, sticker to check originality, recommendations for use and contacts of the manufacturer. All in all – everything you need is present, you can open it.

Contents of the MGO GEMINI POD KIT package

Sliding the cover – in the black insert we have the following: the pod device itself (it is roughly speaking a rechargeable battery pack), two cartridges with liquid of different flavors, a bag with four filters and a driptip, a USB Type-C cable for charging and a manual. Agree that everything looks very civilized and dignified, and can easily qualify for a symbolic gift.

Now let’s briefly talk about how it all works. The battery pack is made of aluminum, has a niche for the stick with a contact group at the top, a charging port at the bottom and holes for air supply when puffing. The cartridge in the upper part is covered with a silicone plug to protect it from dust, and the lower part, where the contacts are located, is sealed with a protective sticker. In a nutshell, it looks like this: you remove the protective sticker from the cartridge, insert it into the block (the contacts will “find” each other when docking and will take the correct position), pull out the plug – and that’s it, you can puff. But no, there is one more thing…

And this is something – it’s a bag with 4 filters and a plastic driptip on two orings. It’s partially a repeat of the MGO D14 and MGO D03 models, which also had kit filters. Maybe they will really help people to get used to this kind of electronic device after the analog, but they certainly do not add flavor. With a complete driptip things are much better, because it is really convenient to operate the device with it. If you decide not to use the contents of the complete bag at all – believe me, you can do it that way too.

For MGO GEMINI, like for MGO D06, you can buy cartridges with different flavors separately. They come in colored cardboard boxes; the kit consists of two sticks with liquid, each of which is packed in a separate bag. And there is also information on the vastness of the network that you can buy a battery pack separately. In other words, you can assemble the kit piece by piece.

MGO GEMINI POD KIT Flavor Description

Pod-system MGO GEMINI POD KIT

Judging by the data on the net (and the website is empty), there are currently 5 kits with 2 flavors in each.

Inside each flavor is a battery containing chemically active alkaline metal – lithium. Such rechargeable batteries should not be thrown away with household waste, but should be taken for recycling or special disposal.

MGO GEMINI – Frosty Mango Grape / Maracuja

The first cartridge is very sweet. In fact, it is the mango that gives all the sweetness, the fruit here is extremely rich and juicy, but a bit “chemical”, without the usual natural ripeness. Grapes are left somewhere behind, and there is only a slight background berry flavor from them. No frost was detected.

The second cartridge is an equally sweet passion fruit, with a flavor very reminiscent of fruit juice. And yes, it is very similar to tropical fruit.

MGO GEMINI – Pina colada rum / Tobacco

The first cartridge is a classic cocktail of pineapple and a slice of coconut. The first component of the declared component acts as a base, its flavor is more than distinct, pleasant and natural. I also note that there is some slightly bitter flavor – maybe this is the interpretation of the rum mentioned. You know, it came out very well!

The second cartridge is a dry, tart, slightly throat-drying tobacco leaf. Tobacco is tobacco in Africa, a real man’s flavor.

MGO GEMINI – Strawberry Kiwi / Frosty Watermelon

The first cartridge is pure kiwi. If usually in such pairs the berry is more dominant, here the fruit with juicy green pulp is definitely the first in everything. The kiwi in this mix is very similar to the one sold on the shelves of stores or markets, it is ripe and soft and sweet in its own way. Strawberries, on the other hand, act as a companion, just for a slight berry flavor.

The second cartridge is neither frosty nor even cool, but quite ripe watermelon, which reminds a lot of the gum of the same name. Yes, exactly, because the flavor is a bit sugary, partly even candy-like.

MGO GEMINI – Blueberry Raspberry / Menthol

The first cartridge is a classic of such recipes! Ripe berries melding together into a juicy tandem. Both blueberries and raspberries are presented here very powerfully, with a slightly unfamiliar sweetness, without natural acidity, but still they are easily recognizable. Yes, again there is a hint of sweet caramel here, and you want something more natural, but overall it came out pretty good.

The second cartridge is menthol, which can’t be confused with anything. Someone will notice a hint of toothpaste in this flavor, someone will feel minty bubblegum, but definitely the recipe is invigorating and refreshing, as it is supposed to have such a component as menthol.

Conclusions

Traditionally, MGO flavors are quite sweet – and the new GEMINI is no exception. It seems that the components are selected at the right level, and there is a concept, but the proper natural flavor transfer is sometimes very lacking. If you close your eyes and imagine that it should be so, then undoubtedly such a set has a place. The presentation, the kit, the build quality and materials are all very good.
