Review of M100 Kit

The M100 Kit from Geekvape, aka Aegis Mini 2, comes in a standard box from this manufacturer, but in the case of our today’s sample we will deal with a sample not for sale, packed in a modest black box with a minimum of identifying marks. On the front side there is a manufacturer’s logo, on the back there is a list of some product features and developer’s data. It should be noted that the differences between the release version and the sample are also in the delivery kit. So, the user will get in the hands of the user along with what we will see below, an additional drip type and a branded tool for extracting coils.

Geekvape M100 Kit Appearance

When assembled, the set is a rather compact but relatively tall bundle, which is due to the not insignificant complete atomizer. But the battery pack itself can well be called squat and suitable for creating stealth sets. online vaping shop in australia The tank is traditionally made of metal. In the construction of the box mod the most different materials are used, starting with metal and ending with plastic, rubber and leather. It is difficult to say about the naturalness of the latter. Like most devices from the Aegis line, the hero of our today’s review is equipped with IP68 protection against water, dust and shock.

Atomizer Z Nano 2 Tank

Let’s start getting acquainted with the M100 Kit with its, perhaps, simplest part – the Z Nano 2 Tank atomizer. The device is, by and large, a standard vaporizer tank. Nevertheless, in the device the manufacturer has collected its most relevant developments in the part of uncoiled vaporizers, because of which the tank may well be interesting in isolation from the boxmod – not all users like to bother with winding. Externally, the atomizer is made in the spirit of the previous devices from this series, distinguished by a recognizable logo on the outer part of the evaporation chamber, as well as the overall shape.

The upper part of the tank is equipped with a blowing adjustment system in the form of a rotating ring and two air intake slots located opposite each other. The mechanism rotates with a noticeable force, which excludes spontaneous failure of user adjustment.

The refill cap in the tank is realized according to the principle used by Geekvape for a long time – on a bayonet connection. To get access to the two wide slots for bottle spouts, this very lid should be slightly turned and then pulled upwards. After separating this constructive part of the device, it is possible to remove the ring of blowing adjustment for a more thorough rinsing of the tank, for example.

To further disassemble the device, unscrew the bottom part, which allows you to get to the pre-installed vaporizer. The consumable is supposed to be removed with a proprietary tool, but in the case of this device it was possible to perform this procedure with not too serious efforts of fingers. The tank comes with two mesh vaporizers from the B Series line: 0.2 ohm (50-58 watts) and 0.6 ohm (15-25 watts). Three more varieties of vaporizers from this series, not counting the complete ones, can be purchased separately.

M100 Mod Boxmod

The design of the M100 boxmod can well be called recognizable, as almost all devices from this line have some common features. The device is made in a battered and very ergonomic body, featuring a comfortable rounding in the back and angular edges in the front. As it was said before, the boxmod has rather modest dimensions.

The front panel of the device is completely devoted to the controls. Here you can find a large and easy to press Fire button, as well as a dual rocker for adjusting the output power. The keys are made of metal. The display is hidden under a plastic insert, which, to all appearances, has a protective film glued on it.

The rear part of the battery pack, adjacent to the palm of the user’s hand, is equipped with leather insert with soft lining inside, which, without too much modesty, causes very pleasant sensations when holding it. Depending on the color of the box mod, of course, the color of the leather will be different. When looking from the top we can see the connector protected from dust and moisture, the landing area of which, of course, can accommodate atomizers of any diameter, but the most aesthetically pleasing here will look tank and 22 mm drip tips, as well as the complete tank.

The charging port for the built-in 2500 mAh battery is located on top and covered with a rubber plug, which, again, is done in favor of protecting the device from moisture and dust. Not to say that in this way a high degree of tightness is achieved, but at least from splashes of water or liquid leaked from the atomizer such a solution can save. Replenishment of the battery capacity is quite fast thanks to the current with a maximum strength of 2A.

M100 Mod box mod functionality

The boxmod is equipped with a Geekvape proprietary board with a rather extensive functionality, and now we will consider its main features. The device is turned on by pressing the Fire button five times, after which the user will see a color display that shows the selected mode, battery charge, set power (from 5 to 100 watts), vaporizer resistance, supplied current and voltage, as well as a puff counter on the main screen. The brightness of the display can be adjusted by pressing the Fire and plus or minus buttons simultaneously.

There are several vaping modes available in the device except for the Power (Varivatt): Bypass, VPC and TC for the most popular wire materials. To select one or another option, you should click three times on the Fire key, and then use the adjustment buttons to get to the desired mode. In the temperature control you can adjust the output power in addition to the temperature limit, and in the VPC mode you can adjust the wattage for each of the first five seconds of vaping.

From the additional features of the device board it is worth noting the support of various colors of the interface design. In addition to the main acid-yellow color, four more variants are available. Switching is performed by simultaneously pressing the “plus” and “minus” buttons. Of course, the board is equipped with all the necessary protections. There is also a possibility of software upgrade.

Impressions and conclusions

Aegis series devices, no matter how they are now called by the manufacturer, have proven themselves among users from a good side for a long time. The undoubted advantage of these devices is their protection from external factors, and no matter how carefully you treat your boxmods, the presence of such an option is definitely not superfluous.

The boxmod, in turn, impresses with excellent manufacturing quality, good ergonomics and just a pleasant appearance. In terms of functionality, the device has everything that a normal user needs and even more. The board is endowed with all the current modes, menu navigation is simple, the power is not small, as well as the battery capacity. And charging is fast enough.
