Review of Hellvape Dead Rabbit 3 RDA

Despite the fact that almost all vape manufacturers have retrained in the production of submods and POD-systems, a lot of vapers prefer to use traditional tanks and drips. After all, it is only thanks to these classic designs for one or two spirals that you can maximize the taste of even the most simple and uncommon liquids. Surely for many vapers model-exemplary drip is Dead Rabbit RDA from the company Hellvape, which can be even in some ways called a cult. After the success of the first release of the drip, the company released the Dead Rabbit V2, which was not particularly different from the first version. Having decided to correct this situation, the company presented the long-awaited update Hellvape Dead Rabbit 3 RDA, which resembles the first two versions, but has more differences than similarities.

General Info

The Hellvape Dead Rabbit 3 RDA is a small, one or two spiraling, side blown vape designed to deliver good flavor and bulk. The appearance of the drip remained the same recognizable, but it became more stylish and in a way sophisticated and neat due to the use of semicircular notches on the top-cap. The base is made in the shape of the English letter Y, which makes it practical and convenient, because it is easy to install one or two spirals. Blowing side, adjustable by turning the dome, and you can get the blow by a large number of individual small points, and bands. You can buy the Hellvape Dead Rabbit 3 RDA in eight colors of steel, black, all black, gun metal, gold, blue, rainbow and red.

Hellvape has always been famous for kitting their atomizers very decently, and the new drip is no exception, so in the box the vaper will find:

Two pre-wound 0.37 ohm Fused Clapton Coils;

Two strips of cotton;

Squonk pin;

Two hexes;

Spare screws;

Replacement O-rings;

User’s Manual.

Appearance and design

In its time, the appearance of the Dead Rabbit from Hellvape company made a small revolution in the world of vaping, as it differed (and still differs) in maximum ease of use and excellent flavor transfer. Naturally, one of the features of the first Dead Rabbit is the top blow, which was used quite rarely. This vape has been a hit of sales for quite a long time, but vapers all over the world who use it wanted something new, and Hellvape announced Dead Rabbit 3 RDA about half a year ago, which finally saw the light.

If we talk about the appearance of the Hellvape Dead Rabbit 3 RDA, you only have to look at the drip and it becomes clear it is a Dead Rabbit. Slightly modified and modern, but still a Dead Rabbit. The drip looks like it got a little brighter and more attractive by using new coatings, but still retains its appeal. The side of the skirt is adorned with the same logo, and the semicircular notches on the top cap are both a decoration and a functional element.

The Hellvape Dead Rabbit 3 RDA is made in the traditional 24mm diameter, so it will fit most devices perfectly. It uses a not so new, but still interesting variant of the 810th non-rinse drip-type with silver plated metal spacer (this spacer is antibacterial if you believe the manufacturer).

Case, airflow and usage features

One of the distinctive features of the first version of the Dead Rabbit was four spiral racks which were already transformed into two Y-shaped racks in the second edition. The Hellvape Dead Rabbit 3 RDA also uses two Y-posts, only they are round instead of rectangular. It’s hard to say whether this design will affect flavor delivery, but the base looks much more interesting.

Each coil is fixed with two slotted screws, and they are installed vertically. Thanks to this design, the vaper has enough space to cut off unnecessary coil ends, which will get in the way.

There is plenty of room for laying absorbent cotton, so it will not cause any questions. It is interesting that the ends of the absorbent cotton can be left large enough.

The pod is 5 mm deep, so it is able to hold about 1 ml of liquid without any problems, but knowing the design features of all Dead Rabbits, with enough absorbent cotton you can pour liquid almost to the spirals. If you wish, you can always install a squonk pin and use the drip on appropriate devices.

Unlike the first version, the Hellvape Dead Rabbit 3 RDA uses side blowing, and it is implemented in two ways with a large number of small holes or several longitudinal holes, so you can choose the best option for your air supply. Blow control is done by rotating the top cap, which has notches on it for convenience.

Conclusions and impressions

We can honestly say that Hellvape Dead Rabbit 3 RDA can hardly repeat the success of the first version, but at the same time the drip will definitely please those who have long wanted something new and delicious at the same time. Every vaper who decides to buy the Hellvape Dead Rabbit 3 RDA will get the most easy to use and maintain drip with great flavor and bulk.
