Review of Eleaf iStick Pico S with ELLO VATE. Updated “pico”

Good day to all! Another of my creations – and today we have an updated legendary device as our guest, which continues to delight users with various versions of its design. We will talk about the Eleaf iStick Pico S with ELLO VATE starter kit from the Chinese company Eleaf.

Packaging and equipment of the Eleaf iStick Pico S with ELLO VATE

The guys from Eleaf probably think that the versions of their famous iStick Pico will live forever, creating more and more new images for this wonderful box mod. Well, why not, because ease of use and fairly high reliability still please vapers. e-cigarettes in australia Today’s culprit of this article is a new role from China. And this image will definitely be remembered! But first things first.

Closer to the point and to the point. In front of us, as always, is a colorful box with an image of the device hidden inside. On the back is a description of the kit. On the left are all sorts of links to the manufacturer in various social networks. On the right is a new-style sticker, with which you can find out the originality of the device.

And here is what is hidden inside the package:

iStick Pico S box mod;

ELLO VATE tank with a pre-installed HW-M evaporator;

spare HW-N evaporator;

spare O-rings and other useful things;

spare glass (for the TPD version);

adapter for using 18650 batteries;

USB cable for charging and updating the box mod firmware;

various useful waste paper.

Now let’s briefly run through the numbers for those who love precision:

size: 52.5 x 28.5 x 128 mm;

weight: 198.7 grams;

tank capacity: 6.5 ml / 2.0 ml;

type of batteries used: 21700 / 18650;

maximum power: 100 watts;

maximum voltage: 9.0 volts;

supported resistance:

0.05 – 3.0 Ohm (VW and bypass mode)

0.05 – 1.5 Ohm (TC modes).

As always, our friends from the Celestial Empire do not forget to please us with various color solutions of their devices. Here is the choice provided this time: Red, Black, White, Dazzling (aka “rainbow”), Blue, Silver. I got the last option.

When I first took the assembled kit in my hand, I personally had a dual impression: it seems interesting, but on the other hand, there is somehow too much of everything, or something… Lots of ribbed surfaces, a huge clumsy glass in the “stock”… But after a little closer examination, you begin to realize the concept of the new product – this is a look towards something unique, unlike anything else. We need to figure it out.

Without changing long-standing traditions, I start from the top. Here, a tall and wide drip tip of the 810 format, made of “resin” material, catches our eye. It is very convenient, has wide openings, and also a very unusual design – like snake skin. It attracts attention!

Next is the filling cap. Eleaf has already realized that sliding it is much more convenient than unscrewing it – the guys have no problems with this. The cap has internal grooves along which it slides wonderfully to the side, opening the filling hole. The latter, by the way, is no longer the most ordinary – it is protected by a kind of silicone curtain, inside which the spout from the now famous Chubby Gorilla will fit perfectly.

We unscrew the cap together with the shaft (this part is indivisible) – now we can deal with the glass. In the “stock” from the box, the tank has the so-called “bubble glass” (aka “pot-bellied”) glass with a volume of 6.5 ml. But Chinese manufacturers have not forgotten about people who will use their brainchild according to European laws: in the kit you can find a spare glass, installing which the tank volume will be 2.0 ml, and all this will look much more ergonomic.

Next up is the evaporator. The ELLO VATE atomizer features a new type of replaceable elements. The novelty is that there is an additional mesh inside, and, as the manufacturer assures, this attribute allows for faster and more even heating. All of this together should give us a richer and more “lively” taste of the liquid.

And the final part of the tank is the base. There have been no changes at the bottom – the same non-adjustable pin and branded engravings. But the air supply has undergone some changes, compared to previous Eleaf atomizers: now we are provided with 4 oblong holes to adjust the degree of tightening.

Well, let’s put everything back together. Wet the evaporator, fill the tank, and leave it for 5-10 minutes to “soak”. After all these procedures, having selected the optimal power for the selected evaporator, you can enjoy thick steam. In terms of taste, if compared with the ELLO tank evaporators in the iStick Pico 21700 kit, it has become noticeably clearer and brighter. The shades of the liquid have become more saturated, and for this pleasantness, we should probably thank the new “mesh” system.

Description and features of the iStick Pico S box mod

And now more interesting moments – consideration of the bottom of the iceberg in the form of the new iStick Pico S box mod. On top we can see the platform for the atomizer (quite impressive in size – devices up to 26.5 mm in diameter will fit) and the upper part of the battery tube with the brand logo (about it literally a little bit below). In the front – the FIRE button, a small monochrome screen, elements “+” and “-“, as well as a microUSB port for charging the battery and updating the firmware of the box. At the bottom there are small oblong holes for cooling the electronic elements inside the device. What I liked most here is the combination of plastic and metal on the sides: everything is very harmoniously separated by a thin red line like a border, and in the hand the device lies like a “native”.
