Review of ARMOR S kit by Vaporesso

Greetings, dear vapers! Today we have on our table (or rather, in our hands) a rather interesting specimen – Vaporesso Armour S. This set is positioned as a reliable and, to some extent, protected device. Let’s figure out if this is really the case and if it is worth your attention.

Package contents:

Everything is standard here: the Armour S box mod itself, the iTank 2 tank (which we will talk about a little later), two evaporators (GTi 0.2 Ohm and GTi 0.4 Ohm), spare glass, USB Type-C cable, instructions and warranty card. Nothing supernatural, but everything you need is in place.

Appearance and ergonomics:

Armour S is, without a doubt, a brutal device. The design is made in the “military” style, with rubberized inserts designed to protect the device from damage. voopoo australia However, in my opinion, the dimensions could be smaller. 37 mm thick is quite a lot, even taking into account the use of a 21700 battery (which, by the way, is not included in the kit and is purchased separately). The mod fits well in the hand, but there is a feeling of a “brick”. Specifications:

Dimensions: 95 x 42 x 37 mm (box mod)

Battery: 1x 18650/21700 (not included)

Power: 5-100 W

Operating modes: VW, TC

Resistance range: 0.1-5.0 Ohm

Display: 0.96″ TFT

Charging: USB Type-C, 2A (in fact, as tests show, the charging current rarely exceeds 1A)

Connector: 510

iTank 2 tank:

The iTank 2 tank is a familiar beast. It has a good flavor transfer and a large volume (5 ml). Top filling, which is convenient. However, it is worth noting that the tank is quite large and looks a little bulky on the Armour S.

GTI evaporators:

The kit includes two evaporators GTi: 0.2 Ohm (60-75 W) and 0.4 Ohm (50-60 W). Both evaporators have proven themselves to be worthy, providing good taste and a sufficient amount of steam. However, it is worth remembering that these are unserviceable evaporators, and they will have to be replaced periodically.

Protection:

Vaporesso emphasizes the protection of the Armour S. Rubberized inserts should protect the device from falls and impacts. However, I would not test its durability specifically. This is more protection from accidental falls, and not from serious extreme loads.

Pros:

Brutal design

Good flavor transfer

Large tank capacity

Support for 18650/21700 batteries

Protection against accidental damage

Cons:

Large dimensions and thickness

Weak charging current (in fact)

The iTank 2 tank looks a bit bulky on this mod

Summary:

Vaporesso Armour S is certainly an interesting device. It will suit those who are looking for a reliable and fairly powerful device with good flavor transfer. However, its dimensions and low charging current should be taken into account. If compactness and fast charging are a priority for you, then you should pay attention to other options. In general, Armour S is a solid middling device, which, however, has its drawbacks.

My rating: 7 out of 10.

I hope this review was useful for you. Thank you for your attention and see you soon!
