Review of Innokin Kroma 217
The device comes in a flimsy beige and blue box made of 100% cellulose. The front edge is decorated with a sticker made of thin paper with a photographically accurate image of the device inside, its name and main characteristics. The back of the box is mottled with small text and pictograms of all sorts of warnings, information about the package, the address of the manufacturer and a product barcode under a holographic sticker with an authentication code.

Nothing extraordinary, the kit is just like a kit, although, considering the material of the box and the lack of any protective packing foils, a bag of silica gel wouldn’t hurt.

The conditional abundance of color options is limited to five: Glass Fiber (“glass wool”), Stealth Black (“black stealth”), River Wood (“river wood”), Mariana Blue (“splashed blue”) and Carbon Fiber (“carbon fiber”). Interaction with the user is done via a color OLED display hidden under a transparent panel with Fire button function and two small rounded buttons at the bottom of the panel. On the screen there is constant information about the current mode, winding resistance, installed wattage, lock status, battery level, number of puffs made and the duration of the last one.
Right above the screen there is an active, “clickable” area of the hidden Fire button, a threefold press on which turns the device on and off, and holding it on plays the main function – supplying voltage to the coil.
Holding down the “+” and Fire buttons will display extended information about the battery level (to the nearest hundredth), current winding resistance (to the nearest thousandth) and, for some reason, the number of puffs made with a suggestion to reset the value.
Holding the “-” and Fire buttons locks / unlocks the device; and to increase or decrease the power, you’ll have to hold the corresponding button for a couple of seconds, wait for the current value to flash on the display, and only then do the adjustment.
